Just those words alone are very powerful copy to have a the beginning of your headline.

 

(2) Add A DATE To Your Headline

(4) Add A Specific Number In Your Headline…

But have a specific number in your headline.

(5) Tell A STORY…

Tell a story in your headline.

4 Ways To Improve Email Open Rates By Using The Best Email Subject Lines

What are the best email subject lines and how can we use them to improve email open rates?

As Internet Marketers (or anyone wishing to market their business online) it’s important to remember that email marketing is one of the most intimate marketing mediums there is, and can be a very personal method of communication.

Having the privilege of a prospect visiting your site and providing you with exclusive permission to personally mail the their inbox is something we should not overlook, and should treat with the respect it deserves.

While this is a topic best saved for what to include in the BODY of an email, we still have the important task of getting our prospects to open our emails in order to serve them with valuable information.

There are a variety of ways that we can improve email open rates by the manner in which we write out subject lines…

 

A fundamental key to improve email open rates is to remember that the best email subject lines have ONE job…

 

TO GET PROSPECTS TO OPEN THE EMAIL.

Having said that there are FOUR useful ways we can structure email subject lines to effectively improve email open rates.

(1) Using EMOTION.

Many of the best email subject lines use emotion to grab prospects’ attention.

The use of emotiemail marketing tipsons (anger, curiosity, surprise, humour), is an excellent way to captivate your prospects and intrigue them enough to CLICK and open the email in order to find out more (a clever way to improve email open rates).

* “I hate it when this happens! (open up),

*This will be the funniest story you hear today!…”

Email subject lines that use content indicators simply tell prospects what’s in the email.

Especially in terms of the time/date is an excellent way to grab prospects attention and make your email subject lines stand out.

*”Are you still up? (sent late at night)”

*It doesn’t matter who gets elected.  Here’s why…”

*How to make the New Year better than last year”

*Newsweek magazine is run by morons! Check this out…”

(4) Lists

People love a top 10, 5, 3 (etc).

Using your email subject line to promote a list of some kind in your email body is another good way to improve email open rates and get them to click the open button!

Once your prospect opens the email, use the list to engage them and then link the list subjects/topic to some form of call to action you wish them to take.

One good way of knowing whether your best email subject lines are good is whether you get a good open rate.  Nothing is set in stone but if you were getting an average of 20-30% then you’d be doing a good job.

How to write emails that get good click through rates

Getting good click through rates in your email marketing campaign and how to write emails that do this is one of the most effective skills that an Internet Marketer can learn.

It is important to establish the difference between good click through rates and good open rates in your email marketing campaign:

Good open rates refer to the percentage of people who are actually opening your emails.

This has more to do with writing effective and captivating email subject lines (a different topic altogether, you can Click Here to access this blog post).

If you are achieving anything from 20-35% you are doing a decent job (anything more an your doing great!).

 Good click through rates in your email marketing campaign refer to the percentage of people who are actually clicking on the links provided in your email BODY after actually opening your emails and reading them.

While getting good click through rates is arguably a more complex skill to master and  more challenging to achieve than open rates; if you are getting around 2.4-3% you are doing about average.

As aforementioned, getting good click through rates are achieved in the email body (after opening).  The job of the email body is to get prospects to take ONE SINGLE ACTION, to point them in one direction.

This single action could be a variety of things depending on what you want your prospects to do (a click, watch a video, buy a product right now, fill out a questionnaire, take advantage of a bonus etc etc).

 

It is important to remember that the email body is NOT about presenting, explaining or even convincing.  It’s all about making ONE simple action very attractive.

 

What should your email body consist of?

There is no one set, right or wrong answer here.

After all you are your own CEO, and you (hopefully) have conducted your appropriate research and know who your target market is and what they want.

Your email body could consist of a variety of things; tips, mini e courses, offers etc etc.

 

Providing you know who your target demographic are and what they want, your job is to simply provide them what they want.

However…

Using stories in your email body COUPLED with a clear, singular call to action that tells your prospects EXACTLY what you want them to do, is probably the best way to get good click through rates.

So the next idea for structuring you content…

(6) Talk about the pros and cons of a particular product, service or technique from a BIASED perspective.

So it could be applicable to any niche that you are in…

For example if you are in the dieting niche you could mention the pros and cons of a particular diet.

So that’s another way you could structure your content…

You could list the pros and cons of XY&Z.

But you structure the content so it’s biased, so it’s actually leaning towards one aspect for example the post pros and cons of XYZ and you could list the pros and cons and then slant it so are you actually for pros more than the cons, or vice versa so its biased in one particular way.

(7) Talk about the pros and cons of a particular product, service or technique from an UNBIASED perspective

So you have the pros and cons but you are neutral where you’re not giving any particular bias either way.

weigh up the pros and consSo you’re very  straight down the line about it and you are looking at it from a very objective point of view.

So you could structure content as the pros and cons, and you could have it in a biased way.

And you can also structure your content as the pros and cons in a neutral way (where your stance is straight down the middle, looking at things from an objective point of view).

You are just looking to inform your readers rather than imply or suggest they go a particular way.

(8) Title and structure your content saying “who”else wants to achieve XYZ? (as a question).

For example “Who else wants to achieve their dream body in three easy steps” or “who else wants to make a full time income online within the next month?” or “who else wants to go on 100 dates within the next six months” (for example).

power of testimnialsSo this way you are already implying that loads of people before them have achieved this particular result.

So you are giving a kind of social proof.

So people will be more inclined to click on your post or to read your post for longer. Because they feel it’s got that kind of social proof already.

So lets quickly recap…

So I’ll give you a list of all the things that you can do to structure content to attract visitors and create engagement…

 

  1. Things to avoid.  2.  Reasons that you should do something or must do something. 3.  How to achieve XYZ in X number of steps.4.The pros and cons of something where you’re taking a biased approach.5. Then you could have the pros and cons of something from a non biased stand point.6.Talking about the biggest mistakes that people make.7.Top ideas for doing something giving people ideas how they can achieve something or giving them ideas why they must do something. 

    8.Who else wants to do XYZ (giving that social proof already)

So now I’d like to give you 3 more tips for structuring your content and creating more engagement.

The first step is remind your readers what their pain is then remind them what the solution to that pain is, or what the solution to that problem is.

So you remind them of the pain or the problem, pain of the problem and then you remind them what the solution to that problem is.

solve problems for peopleThen after that you remind them that you have the solution to their problem and that you have the key to avoiding this particular pain.

So if you remember in the last video I shared with you how research shows that people will do more to avoid pain than to gain pleasure.

So by reminding them what their pain/problem is and that we have the solutions their pain/problem.

Then you want to remind them that you have the solution to that particular problem and that you have the answer for them to avoid this pain.

And the way they can do that is by reading your content and clicking on your call to action at the bottom of your content.

8 Ways Of Structuring Your Content To Attract Visitors And Increase Engagement (Part One)

In today’s newsletter we’re going to be looking at structuring your content.

I have 8 Ideas for you as to how you can go about structuring your content, blog posts or videos in order to increase the rate that people actually engage with you.

To entice people to not only click on your blog post and to read your blog post fully, but also to keep them on the page, reduce your bounce rate and basically improve the whole experience for them and to just to increase engagement.

In this video we’re going to be looking at FOUR ways that you can structure your content, and in the next video I’m going to give you the NEXT four.

So 8 ways for you to structure your content in total.

(1) For the first way, you could structure content in terms of things to AVOID.

So for example you could have “three things to avoid” or “five things to avoid” or “top 10 things to avoid”.

For example, if you are in the pets niche for example (dogs say) you could structure your content as “five things in order to avoid in order for your dog not to be sick” or “things that you must not do in order for your dog to not be sick”.

If you remember that people are more driven by avoiding pain than gaining pleasure.

ways of structuring your content to attract visitors and increase engagement So if you have a title or structure of your content teaching, warning and giving people tips that they should avoid in order to prevent a problem, people will generally be more inclined to respond to things that are helping them avoid pain rather than gain pleasure.

Having that as a structure giving people top tips to avoid certain things, that’s one way that you could structure your content effectively.

(2) The next way you could have your content structured/titled something like “five reasons you should…” or “five reasons you must…” (do something).

For example, if you are in the Internet Marketing niche, you could have “top five reasons why you must create compelling content” (for example), or if you are the pets niche, you could say “top five things that you must do in order to have a healthy dog” (for example). So you could have “top five things that you must do” or “that you should you should do” you could structure your content in that way.

(3) Another way that you could structure your content, is by saying “…achieve XYZ in five easy steps” or three easy steps.

For example, if you are in the health or the body building niche, you could say achieve your dream body in three easy steps”.

So again, people like bite sized steps, they like things to be broken
down into bite-size chunks.

You could have “the three biggest mistakes that people make” or “the five biggest mistakes that people make”.
So it doesn’t really matter about the number (top 2, top 3, top 5 , top 10 biggest mistakes).

The thing is, people are quite interested in and motivated by learning how to avoid pain.

So if you forewarn them about other people’s mistakes, then people will generally be interested to click on and see how they can avoid this particular pain by learning from other people’s mistakes.

(4) You can also give people IDEAS.

For example, the three ideas for or the five top ideas for.

So you can give people the top ideas for doing something or the top reasons to do something. Giving your top reasons WHY they should do something or the top reasons FOR doing something

4 Key Components Of An Effective Blog Post

When you’re writing your blog posts, make sure that you include these four elements to it. If you include thse elements, not only will your blog post be a lot more effective and a lot more beneficial for you, but also for the people reading your content.

It will also be more effective in achieving the purpose of your blog post.

As discussed in previous videos, the purpose of your blog is to turn your leads and followers into clients, customers and essentially sales.

The first thing thing you must ensure is that your blog has high quality content.

be a producer of quality content Between 350 words to 1,000 (or even more if you want).

But at least 350 words in a blog post AND include a video if you can.

 


The second thing that your blog post should have is a main call to action at the end of your blog post.

And after your main call to action, you want to include testimonials of people who have actually taken this call to action or who have bought this particular product or service and given their positive feedback from taking this action.

So you’re giving your reader a call to action, and then giving them social proof that this call to action will benefit them.

The way you do that is by testimonials or by explaining your own results.

So giving your own testimonial.

customer testimonialsSo if you’ve used the product or service and thought it was really good, you want to give your own results or your own personal testimonial of what happened when you took that particular call to action.
So you want high-quality content with a video.

Not on only will this improve relationships with your customers, but it will also help to lower the bounce rate if you have a video and a lot of engaging content keeping your visitors on your blog for a long time.

So we have high quality content with a video, we have a call to action (in fact various multiple calls to action within your blog post) and after your final call to action include testimonials or your own results.

The last thing that you want to do is have a signature.

So many people don’t have this and it’s really important.

talking about who you are, inviting people to work with you, talking about what people can get by following you and working with you.Explaining a little bit about what you have to offer.

A signature with your name, your picture, a bit about you and a “work with me” piece of text, talking about the benefits of people working with you.

Lastly, have PS or several PPS’ further promoting other tools, products and services that you are affiliated with and endorse.

So if you are promoting a particular affiliate product or your own product, have a PS at the bottom of your signature, saying something like “PS: in order to achieve XYZ click here. So youre actually promoting your own products, affiliate links or products that you endorse further.

So let’s very quickly recap….

The 4 Key Components That Every Blog Post Must Have …

  1.  Valuable content of at least 350 words and a video within that blog post.

2.  Also we want to have a call to action within your blog post, although your main call to action where you are really promoting and advertising what you have to offer should come at the end.

3. So you want valuable content, then hit them with a call to action at the end of your blog post (and we’ll discuss this in further detail in subsequent videos), then testimonials or your own resolves after I bought this particular product or took this particular action.

4. Then after our testimonials, a signature, where you have your picture, information about how people can work with you and then you want a PS or a PPS promoting what you have to offer or your own products or things that you endorse.

Make sure you include all of these aspects to your blog post and it will be a lot more effective in achieving your ultimate purpose of which is essentially to make you sales and to get u clients and customers.
